Call for Papers

Submissions are kindly invited for oral (short lecture) or poster presentations in the following areas:

  • Clinical trials of complementary medicines
  • Meta-analyses and systematic reviews of complementary medicine treatments
  • Reviews of well-researched areas of herbal medicine, nutritional supplements or aromatherapy
  • Clinical research methodology in complementary medicine
  • Quality and safety issues for complementary medicines, especially herbal and nutritional products
  • Potential new complementary medicine treatments of clinical relevance
  • Advances in the understanding of the role of complementary medicines in facilitating healthy longevity and improving aged care
  • Complementary medicine research developments in the management of challenging clinical conditions including Alzheimer’s disease, ADHD and type 2 diabetes

Instructions for Submission of Abstracts

  1. The abstract must be written in English and should be brief and concise;
  2. Abstracts should not exceed 250 words. Please use Arial Narrow as the font and single line spacing for the entire abstract;
  3. The title of presentation should be short and informative, with a maximum length of two lines, written in bold letters;
  4. The name(s) of all author(s) should be included, together with relevant institutions;
  5. The abstract should be as substantial and concise as possible, including the aim of the work, the methodology used, main results and a conclusion;
  6. Abstract should be submitted by email, as an attachment, together with a completed abstract submission form, to:

Presentation at the Conference

The poster session is planned for Saturday evening (March 14) from 5.00 to 6.00 p.m.

Short lectures are to be of 30 minutes duration with 20 minutes presentation time and 5 to 10 minutes for questions. Concurrent sessions for short lectures will be held on Saturday and Sunday mornings (March 14 and 15).

If Your Abstract is Accepted

If you are chosen to present a short lecture or poster at the conference you will also need to register to attend. All expenses including conference registration, accommodation and travel are the responsibility of the presenter. Submission of an abstract implies permission for it to be published in the conference proceedings and other relevant publications.
