"City of Education, Culture, Technology and the Future"

Armidale, a leader in education and agricultural research is situated in the heart of the New England Tablelands of eastern Australia (northern New South Wales). A city of historical significance, Armidale boasts many fine architectural landmarks including magnificent cathedrals, churches and buildings, complemented by colourful pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, bookshops and quality gift and clothing shops, clustered around the central Mall.

Armidale is famous for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, an atmosphere that provides for a diverse and distinctive lifestyle and recreational opportunities. The city is set in rural grazing country approximately 1,000 metres above sea level. The area experiences four very distinct seasons with the conference being held in autumn accompanied by the colour of exotic deciduous trees and shrubs.
